Once you submitted all documentation according to your benefit, the Registrar鈥檚 office will review your聽VA & Military Benefit Request.

Please confirm with your advisor that all classes are required for your major to ensure there is no delay in the certification with the VA.

Certifications for all Chapters (,,,听,听) can be completed up to 60 days before the semester begins. There is a 2 week turnaround time once your request聽is submitted to the office unless there are discrepancies in your selection of courses.

Once the certification is submitted to the VA, you will receive email notification that you have been certified. If there are any changes to your course selection after you submitted it to the Registrar鈥檚 office, you are required to notify our office at聽Babinski@njit.edu. Changes in courses and credit load could impact your educational benefit, BAH, or tuition and fees paid to the school. It is important to contact us prior to making significant changes so we can discuss the impact such a change can have on your account. Failure to attend courses, dropping less than full-time or dropping to half-time may all result in significant financial impacts.

After you are certified, the VA will then be able to process your certification and begin sending your educational benefit or BAH/book stipend (depending on your benefit). However, once we submit the certification there is no guarantee as to how long the VA will take to process your file. If you have questions about a delay, you will need to call the VA at 1-888-GI Bill-1 (1-888-442-4551).

For those who need to verify attendance (), if you received an email stating you have been certified (to your 麻豆成人版 email) but your file is not found in聽聽WEB Automated Verification of Enrollment (or by calling 888-442-4551) when you try to verify your attendance, the VA has not processed聽 your file. Call the VA with questions if necessary at 1-888-GI Bill-1 (1-888-442-4551).

**Certification is based on the number of credits taken in any semester. 9 credits are full-time for Graduate programs and 12 credits are full-time for Undergraduate programs. Summer full-time status varies, please call the Veteran and Military Affairs office or email us for Summer information.
