First-year students听are eligible for exemption from the English and/or Math placement assessment听if they听meet听the criteria posted below and submit the appropriate documentation to the Admissions Office as soon as possible. Please Note:听 If you have taken a college course affiliated with 麻豆成人版听during high school, you may be eligible for exemption.听听It is essential that you听notify听the Placement Testing Office prior to accessing for placement assessments so that your 麻豆成人版听transcript can be reviewed听.听High School courses are not considered for exemption from the placement assessment. Therefore, it is not necessary听to email the Placement Testing Office听 a copy of听听your听High School transcript.

• English Exemption
  • Students will only be exempt from taking the English placement assessment if they have submitted to 麻豆成人版:
    • AP or IB scores for eligible English course听听(completed prior to acceptance) - Must have a 4 or 5;听for policy details click on this link
    • Transcript from a college/university for first-level English course听with a grade of C or better听(completed prior to acceptance)

  • Students will only be exempt from taking the math placement assessment听if they have submitted to 麻豆成人版:
    • AP or IB scores for eligible Math course (completed prior to acceptance) - Must have a 4 or 5;听for policy details听click on this link
    • Transcript from a college/university for Pre-Calculus or Calculus 1听with a grade of C or better听(completed prior to acceptance)

鈥嬏齌o receive college credit, send your official AP听score report 听to 麻豆成人版 through the College Board, using the school code 2513. Please contact the听Office of University Admissions听for more information or questions regarding your AP/IB or other college/university transfer听credit.

If you meet the exemption criteria, you must send notification to placementtesting@njit.edu听to confirm eligibility .

Transfer students who were awarded credit at their previous college/university based on their听AP听and/or IB scores听should have an official electronic AP score report and/or听IB certificate sent to 麻豆成人版's 听Office of the Admissions听颈尘尘别诲颈补迟别濒测.
